Reidsville and Eden won championships in the Rockingham County Youth Basketball Tournament held Feb. 26-28 at the Reidsville Parks & Recreation Department.

     Reidsville won the boys 10-under championship after sporting a 3-0 record.

     Coached by Andre Galloway, Reidsville won the 10-under title with a 54-14 win over the Eden Recreation Department Sunday.

     Reidsville beat the Eden Rec 46-13 and Madison-Mayodan 50-21 to get to the finals.

     Team members were Jalen Spicer, Austyn Chestnut, Nich Edwards, Jalen Foster, Justin Hairston, Justin Jackson, Titus Jones, Curtis Smalls, Keyshaun Gallowy, Bryson Stokes, Jahlen King, and Isaiah Hayes.

     DeAndre Graves of the Eden Rec and Chris Bowes of the Boys & Girls Club shared the Free Throw Championship with 13 out of 20.

     In the Boys 12-under, the Eden Rec knocked off Madison-Mayodan 34-19 in the finals.

     Eden advanced to the championship with wins over Reidsville (30-22) and the Eden Boys & Girls Club (38-19).

Eden team members were Jadakis Jumper, Spencer Surratt, Jamaal Wade, Kurtis Mullins, Jerwan Adams, Tyjuan Scales, Dekar Dillard, Tyrique Williams, Jhriek Lowe, Colin Cunningham, Sky McGuire, and Tyshon Lowe.

     Reidsville’s Denzel Myers won the Free Throw championship by making 17 out of 20.

     In the Girls 12-under bracket, the Eden Rec whipped the Eden YMCA 43-19 in the championship game.

     Along the way, Eden beat the YMCA 42-10 and Madison-Mayodan 42-9.

     Eden Rec team members were Angela Mullins, Kennedy Cohen, Tyeisha Williams, Ashlea Hatcher, Kynesha Lester, Jakema Lester, J’Nai Millner, Nikkie Simons, Lyndsey Minter, Amari Lester, and Amari Simpson.

     Radeja Valentine of Madison-Mayodan won the girls Free Throw Championship.
